Marie Poliseno, CPDT is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the first national certification for dog trainers. Marie has gained extensive experience over the past several years training her own four dogs as well as working with hundreds of other dogs and their pet owners.  Her hands-on work experience includes the development and execution of customized obedience programs as well as behavior modification curriculums for each of the dogs she has worked with -- either in your own home, in group lessons or at her Board and Train facility.

Marie is a 2003 graduate of the Dogs of Course Instructor Training Course and a 2004 graduate of the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers which is regarded as the “Harvard” for dog training professionals.  She earned the prestigious designation of Certified Pet Dog Trainer in 2004 and is one of relatively few trainers worldwide with this credential.   Marie is also an active member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers whose mission is to enhance the human-dog relationship by educating trainers, other animal professionals and the public through advocating dog-friendly training.

In addition to training others, Marie actively engages in sports activities with her dogs.  She and her two Portuguese Water Dogs each currently compete at the most advanced levels in Agility (a dog/human team sport) in which both teams have distinguished themselves by earning several American Kennel Club (AKC) and North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC) titles throughout their careers.

Her two Weimaraners, in addition to being trained in Obedience are also active working gun dogs and have been recognized and titled by the AKC as Junior Hunters.
